TRIBUTE TO SHRI HARESH MOTWANI
|
Shocking news of a colossal loss to all of us was received by BIA on 8th June
that on 7 June 2007 our beloved President Shri Haresh Motwani passed away in
Chicago, USA. A unanimous Resolution was passed by Office Bearers and Executive
Committee Members that Office Bearers and Executive Committee Members of BIA
deeply mourn the sad and untimely demise of Shri Haresh Motwani, President,
Bombay Industries Association on 7th June 2007 at Chicago, USA. His valuable
services, guidance and support to the BIA will be remembered forever. May God
give his family the strength and fortitude to bear his will.

On Saturday 29 April 06 Shri Haresh Motwani was installed as President of Bombay
Industries Association in presence of Chief Guest Shri Madhur Bajaj, Vice
Chairman, Bajaj Auto Ltd. Guest of Honour Shri Birendrakumar, Advisor, Price
Waterhouse Coopers Pvt. Ltd, former Dy. Managing Director and CCO of State Bank
of India, Senior Past Presidents and large gathering of BIA members.

After taking over as President of BIA, Shri Haresh Motwani presented his plans
for the year 2006-07 under his tenure before the august gathering. He announced
about formation of Ladies Wing. A Ladies Wing is formed and is in the
prelimenary stage. He was very enthusiastic to give major thrust to BIA to issue
Certificate of Origin. During his tenure large number of Certificates of Origin
have been issued by BIA to large number of BIA member companies. He wished that
while promoting Certificate of Origin major thrust will be given for making more
new members. During his tenure 50 new BIA members have been enrolled. He
announced that he will organise International Business Promotion visit to China.
He lead BIA delegation to China in Oct. 2006.
